DESCRIPCIÓN

The City Tour is an inexpensive half-day service (4 hours) that runs through the main tourist attractions of the city of Cusco: Cathedral, Coricancha, Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Pucapucara and Tambomachay. The tour includes transportation by full minivan and tour guide service. It does not include the Cusco Tourist Ticket that can be purchased on the same day of the tour. Entrance fees to the Cathedral and the Coricancha are optional. The start is at 9 in the morning in the Plaza de Armas of Cusco where everyone meets with the tour guide. Then they are visited in order: the Cathedral, Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Pucapucara, Tambomachay and the Coricancha. At this last Inca site, at 1 in the afternoon, the tour ends (a few steps from the Cusco Main Square).

TOURIST ATTRACTIONS

The City Tour offers a visit to the most important tourist attractions in the city of Cusco: the Cathedral, the Coricancha, Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Pucapucara and Tambomachay. The tour of each of these sites is in the company of a professional tour guide.
Cusco Cathedral
The Cathedral of Cusco is the most important Christian temple in the city. The entrance to its facilities costs 15 Peruvian soles. It offers treasures and works of art from the viceregal period. It is a visit to the colonial history of Cusco.
Coricancha Inca Temple
The Coricancha is the most important and majestic Inca temple, not only in Cusco but in the entire ancient empire of the Incas. The chronicles indicate that part of its walls were covered by sheets of gold. Admission costs 15 Peruvian soles. Includes a visit to the Santo Domingo temple.
Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Pucapucara and Tambomachay
The Incas built several fortresses and temples in the upper part of the city of Cusco. These constructions are called ‘Sacsayhuaman archaeological complex’. They are made up of: Qenqo, Pucapucara, Tambomachay and the fortress of Sacsayhuaman.

MAP AND ITINERARY

The tour begins in the Cusco Main Square. There you visit the Cathedral of Cusco. This is followed by a trip by minivan to the fortress of Sacsayhuaman, a site famous for its immense stone walls. Then the transport will take us to Qenqo, an Inca site famous for its underground constructions. The next destination is Pucapucara, where the Inca's troops stopped to rest. Just a few steps away is the site of Tambomachay, the Inca's own purification site. On board the transport we will return to the city to visit the Coricancha, the most important Inca temple in the entire Inca empire. All these destinations are visited in the company of a tour guide. The City Tour includes complete transportation and professional tour guide. Tickets are optional and must be purchased on the day of the tour. Find out what these tickets are and what their price is. Remember that some places may be optional if the tourist so agrees.
Ticket to the Cathedral
The entrance ticket to the Cathedral of Cusco costs 15 Peruvian soles. There you will be able to appreciate a collection of colonial treasures as well as works of art from the so-called ‘Cusco School of Painting’. Children and university students pay 13.50 soles..
Ticket to the Coricancha
The entrance ticket to the Coricancha costs 15 Peruvian soles. There you will be able to appreciate the rooms and shrines that the Incas built in this important temple. You can also see a room with works of art as well as the church of Santo Domingo. Children under 8 years old are free.
Cusco Tourist Ticket
This ticket has a cost of 70 soles for foreigners and 40 soles for Peruvians. It can be purchased the same day of the trip. Includes admission to four places: Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Pucapucara and Tambomachay. They are all on the outskirts of the city of Cusco. Children under 10 years old are free.
